My research in the contaminant transport lab involves the study of Uranium transport through fractured rock cores. I am designing a column experiment to track the movement of Uranium as groundwater flows through fresh fractures in rock cores from Livermore, CA. In addition to rock, I will also be conducting a similar experiment with sediments from Northern Arizona, and comparing the transport properties of these porous media.
